Subject: Call for Papers – Special Issue on the Shroud of Turin
Dear Researchers,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of the call for papers for a
Special Issue dedicated to the Shroud of Turin, to be published in the renowned
journal Imagens em Foco.
The Shroud of Turin represents one of the most studied and debated objects in
history, involving various fields of knowledge such as history, archaeology,
forensic science, theology, physics, and chemistry. Its complexity and the mystery
surrounding it continue to inspire researchers worldwide to deepen their studies
and present new perspectives.
We invite researchers from Brazil and around the world to submit scientific
articles addressing any aspects related to the Shroud of Turin. Both original works
and articles already published in other journals or conference proceedings will be
accepted, provided they are properly adapted and revised for this special issue and
do not infringe existing copyrights.
Our goal is to gather a collection of high-quality research that contributes to the
understanding and ongoing debate about this fascinating artifact.
Submission Guidelines:
• Submission Deadline: November 15, 2025
• Formatting Standards: Articles must strictly follow the guidelines of
Imagens em Foco journal. It is recommended to consult the journal’s
official website for details on formatting, citation style, and text length.
